http://collections.aucklandmuseum.com/ontology/core/researcherComments Chinese split skirt in black self patterned silk, with cream raw silk yoke or waistband. The skirt is gored and panels divided by bias ribbon in brown. The panels show floral motifs in satin stitch. The main front and back panels have bats and flowers in satin stitch knots, and there is machine embroidered tapes around theses panels and around the hem. The silk lining originally a deep sea green colour but is very faded.
