Stone sinker. This sinker is shaped like a club. Most of its weight is contained at its base. The top features a small neck where a fishing cord would have been lashed. It is smooth in texture showing it is pōhaku kāne (male stone) and light grey in tone. These types of sinkers were used to carry lures down to the bottom of deep fishing grounds.
