http://erlangen-crm.org/current/P3_has_note doll, "Celluloid 'Newpie' doll dressed in 'Kilts' given to donor during 1914-18 war. This doll was bought for the donor by her fiancee from a store in upper Queen St. She has unfortunately forgotten the name, and she made it's clothing herself from an old Scottish scarf (the kilt) given by an immigrant friend. The sporran is from an old suspender buckle and the spats from a white kid glove. It was dressed and exhibited for a fund raising drive about 1917 in Perth W.A.for the first world war."
