This simple, restrained and utilitarian sideboard was commissioned from Cousins and Cousins Ltd by newlyweds for their home. New Zealand rimu was, by this time, a wood that replaced oak. sideboard, flat topped sideboard with slightly curved backboard and small bracketed shelf, on sither side of the main body there are two cabinet doors with simple panel design on upper half, round edge cube handles and key lock. Inside is one shelf. In the centre of the main body are two parallel drawers with double, wedge shaped handles. Below the drawers is a double doored cabinet with one shelf.
