http://erlangen-crm.org/current/P3_has_note Memorial Plaque (framed) presented to next-of-kin of 12/834 Tpr James George Paterson, Auckland Infantry Battalion, killed in action during landing, Gallipoli, 25 April 1915 James George Paterson, originally from Otahuhu, enlisted with the Auckland Infantry Regiment (16th Waikatos) and embarked with the Main Body on 14 October 1914. He was killed during the Gallipoli Landing at Anzac Cove on 25 April 1915, although initially listed in the Weekly News as "missing". The Memorial Plaque was issued to next of kin of all those who had fallen in the Great War or had subsequently died from wounds received in it description: bronze Memorial Plaque named to JAMES GEORGE PATERSON mounted in wooden frame with carved wooden matt: two kiwi supporters and scroll with word VALOUR below plaque and crossed flags (Union Jack and NZ Blue Ensign) above marked verso: "Mrs Paterson / To Terry / From Gran Memories of / Pvt James George Paterson / No 12/834 16th Waikato Regt / Killed Anzac Landing Brother of 4/1313 [should be 2/1313] Sgt Anthony John Paterson 4th Howitzer Battery / died Nov. 1965"
