Connolly (Chaplain Class IV). This was probably Rev. Thomas Frederick Connolly (Chaplain 4th Class) a Roman Cathiolic priest who enlisted as a chaplain and initially left New Zealand on 19th January 1917, with the third charter of the hospital ship Maheno. Six months later he embarked with the 27th Reinforcements, bound for England. Beteween November 1917 - November 1918 he was attached to the 4th Battalion, 3rd New Zealand Rifle Brigade.
