Unusual for a Pratten's Perfected instrument to have a cylindrical bore, with consequently large toneholes needing covered fingerholes, of which LH1 and LH2 are perforated, with holes even larger than the usual French model proportions. The thumb Bb, G# and long F keys are mounted on posts screwed directly into the wood, but remainder are all attached to sil. straps. It also has a RH1 touchpiece to operate L0 B flat, and another to operate small D trill key above L0. Neither of these is on DCM 0310 # 0325 which in other respects looks similar. (q.v.). Black leather-covered. Dark blue velveteen lining. Signed Prattens Perfected label dated 9/2/66 badly chewed by insects. RH end of case missing. Inside lid of case is pencilled (twice) August 13/64, presumably by case maker. Original black leather covering has been covered (including over nameplate) by dark red leather. Nominal Key: C.
