Neck ornament. This is a Neck ornament made three material components: te kora (coconut sennit fibre cordage), te nana (coconut shell discs) and wii te kua kewe (porpoise teeth). Nineteen porpoise teeth have been threaded across the Neck ornament. They are short in size, cylindrical in form with a short pointed end defining the tooth part and then a tapered stubbed and at times open hollow that defines the root. A small circular perforation has been drilled into the end where te kora has been threaded through. A series of up to six or seven tiny ground discs of te nana have been threaded in between each wi te kua kewe. They are dark brown in colour and hard in material. The Neck ornament has been fastened through a loose knot where the two-ply kora is visible. It is small in size for a Neck ornament. Te mwae
